A royal congrats to Prince William and Kate! The proud new parents probably weren’t the only ones not to get much sleep last night in London. There were street parties last night to celebrate the birth of the third in line to the throne but today, the formal ceremonies began with a 41 gun salute outside Buckingham Palace, a 62 Gun Salute at the Tower of London, and three hours of bell ringing at Westminster Abbey (where Prince William and Kate married in 2011). No first sighting of the baby yet. Weighing in at 8 pounds 6 ounces, the newborn is the heaviest future king in 100 years.
