Not to Be a Debbie Downer But… A Bit about Sharks

I watched a TV documentary recently on sharks and how shark finning is depleting ocean waters of all shark species. More than 100 million sharks are killed each year due to overfishing by commercial and recreational fisherman. That’s close to 11,000 killed per hour. 24/7. Every hour.

At this rate, sharks will be extinct within the next two decades. The balance of the ocean’s food chain is in danger. And all this… In the name of soup? Really?
