Low in Iron? Try Rooibos Tea


I was recently introduced to rooibos tea. It has a distinct flavor so I wasn’t sure if I’d become a fan. But the more I learn about this super tea and its uber health benefits, the more I find myself drinking this bold flavored red tea.

Most black teas prevent the body from absorbing iron effectively because of the tannins they contain. Rooibos tea, which contains less than half the tannins of black tea, actually aids the body with iron absorption.

Like me, if you’re low in iron, you may want to cut down on the amount of black tea you drink and give rooibos tea a try. It’s also naturally caffeine-free and full of powerful antioxidants. So go ahead, drink as much of this wonder tea as you like without feeling guilty.
